Installation:
1.Use an OBD II Diagnostic Scanner to pull the error code from your vehicles computer.
2.Go to an auto zone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, generally they will do this for you for free.
3.You will typically get two possible error codes;
Error Code P0325: Which is Knock Sensor 1 or Circuit Bank
Error Code P0330: Which is Knock Sensor 2 or Circuit Bank
4.for Lexus vehicles will have two knock sensors and the two different error codes will reveal which knock sensor is not working correctly.
5.It is best to replace Both Sensor at the same time, even though only one sensor is showing being bad.

Note:
-The knock sensor is a sonic sensor that monitors shockwaves in the engine. It senses when the engine pings.
-That is, pre-ignition when the timing is too far advanced.
-The knock sensor tells the computer that the engine is pinging and the computer retards the timing.
-These sensors fail over time and when they do the computer goes into limp mode.
